Juniors

Castle Hill Knights Baseball Club is one of the biggest baseball organisations in the Hills area and NSW.

We cater for Juniors across a variety of conferences to accommodate different ages groups as well as varied experience within the club.

Castle Hill Knights Baseball Club plays within the Hills competition. In each age group, there are several conferences (known as leagues). Players within Under 10’s – Under 17’s are graded into generally three divisions / conferences (ie. 1’s, 2’s, 3’s). For example: 10-1’s, 10-2’s, 10-3’s. Each conference is known by its league name. For example: Under 10-1’s, is known as Don Petroff League. The number of leagues present each year is dependent on the number of kids enrolled to play within the Hills Competition.

U8 [Under 9’s]: Ages 5-7

Tee-Ball

Offers both a non-competitive (Funball and Akers) and competitive (Super 8’s) structure, dependent upon a players Teeball experience.  U8 age groups commence mid-October through to end March. All games are played on a Saturday morning at either 8.30am or 10.30am at various grounds throughout the Hills district.

Funball offers an introduction to Teeball for 5-7 year old’s who are new to baseball, in a non-competitive environment. Everyone is given an opportunity to bat. Our dedicated coaches are focused on ensuring your child enjoys their first baseball experience. Players get a taste of hitting, throwing, catching and running the bases.

Akers league offers Teeball for 5-7 year old’s who have already experienced a season of Teeball, in a non-competitive environment. This is a step up from Funball in which players experience 3 outs and side away.

Super 8’s offers a competitive structure, played on a bigger field with nine-a-side, and is a natural progression from Funball and Akers League’s. While still focusing on having fun, players start to show some strength and timing, and we see more balls hit into the outfield, catches taken and throws across the diamond. Each season, Castle Hill fields a number of teams in order to accommodate the various leagues within the Hills competition. Teeball for U8 age groups commence mid-October through to end March. All games are played on a Saturday morning at either 8.30am or 10.30am at various grounds throughout the Hills district.
