Our exciting winter programs for young baseball players are returning for 2025:
- Knights Winter Smash – 11U & 13U
- Knights Winter Smash – Elite – 15U
- Knights Under Lights – Teeballers
The aim of these programs is to provide opportunities for players to keep playing baseball during the winter off season and develop foundational skills, increase overall baseball knowledge, situational awareness and passion for the game in time for next summer!
This year we’ve made some slight tweaks to both programs to make them even better and even more accessible to our junior players!
Knights Winter Smash 2025
The Winter Smash Tournament is designed for Castle Hill Knights live pitch youth players aged 9-13.
- The KWS program will be a 10 week tournament with two groups
- 13U (players aged 12 and 13) – games played on 80ft diamond on Friday (5:30pm or 7:30pm) at Knights Field.
- 11U (players aged 11 and under must have played Modball) – games played on 70ft diamond on Friday (5:30pm or 7:15pm) at Castle Glen.
- There will be four teams in each age group. Everyone who wants a go pitching will get a turn. Everyone will get multiple at-bats each night. Coaches will provide live tutoring/demonstrations during games.
- This will be played on a Little League sized fields, involve modified rules to speed up the game and have a balance of skill level and ages spread evenly across each team.
- This program is aimed at players who have already played a minimum of one season of Modball baseball.
Knights Winter Smash 2025 – Elite
This year, we’re introducing the ELITE Series on Monday nights for 15U players.
- This high-level competition will run for 10 weeks on a full-sized diamond, featuring draft-selected teams and modified rules.
- Open to Division 1 players or those in Intermediate or Junior League representative teams from across the area.
- This series is designed for those ready to compete at an elite level.
- KWS Elite runs for 10 weeks on Monday nights during term 2.
- Players will receive a KWS Elite 2025 Jersey and hat
Knights Under Lights
Details about our winter development program for teeballers will be made available soon.
These programs are an excellent opportunity for juniors to keep their baseball up during the winter months and improve their skills during the off season. We can’t wait to see how these players develop through these programs!
