Knights Winter Development 2023

We have two exciting programs for our young baseball players: Knights Under Lights and Knights Winter Smash.

The aim of these programs is to provide opportunities for players to keep playing baseball during the winter off season and develop foundational skills, increase overall baseball knowledge, situational awareness and passion for the game in time for next summer!

Knights Under Lights 2023


The Knights Under Lights program is designed for Castle Hill Knights players between the ages of 7U to 10U

  • KUL runs for 8 weeks on Friday Nights during the school term with a Sunday Gala Day to conclude the program.
  • The program focuses on skills-based training, including hitting, throwing, fielding, baserunning, and game plays.
  • It’s a perfect way for kids that played last season with the Knights to continuing learning, developing and honing their baseball skills.
  • Players will be trained by some of the most passionate and experienced coaches the club has to offer, plus some of our local Representative Players.
  • Players will receive a KUL 2023 Jersey, plus a Sausage sanger & Poppa after each session!

ADDITIONAL DETAILS – KUL
  • Schedule: 6pm to 7:30pm — Friday — From 19th May
  • Location: Castle Glen
  • Age Group: 7U-10U
  • Timeframe: 8 weeks (Friday) + 1 x Gala Day (Sunday)
  • Cost: $160. Includes program & KUL Jersey (KUL hat available for sale)
  • What to wear and bring: Players will need to wear baseball pants, belt and bring their own fieldling glove, batting helmet and bats

Knights Winter Smash 2023


The Winter Smash Tournament is designed for Castle Hill Knights live pitch youth players aged 10-12.

  • The KWS program will be a 10 week program, consisting of a 2 week preseason followed by a live pitch tournament across four teams over 8 weeks.
  • This will be played on a Little League sized field, involve modified rules to speed up the game and have a balance of skill level and ages spread evenly across each team.
  • This program is aimed at players who have already played a minimum of one season of player pitch baseball with the Castle Hill Knights.
  • Spots are strictly limited to 48 players due to team sizes.
  • Coaches will provide live tutoring/demonstrations during games.


ADDITIONAL DETAILS – KWS
  • Schedule: From 28th April (Friday night during school term) – Games 5:30pm or 7:15pm
  • Location: Castle Glen
  • Age Group: Players must be aged 10, 11 or 12 (playing live pitch already)
  • Timeframe: 10 weeks (2 weeks preseason + 8 weeks of games)
  • Cost: $200. Includes Tournament Fees, KWS 2023 Jersey and Hat
  • What to wear and bring: Players will need to wear baseball pants, groin protector, belt and bring their own fieldling glove, batting helmet and bats

These programs are an excellent opportunity for Junior Knights to keep their baseball up during the winter months and improve their skills during the off season. We can’t wait to see how these players develop through these programs!
