Our exciting winter programs for young baseball players are returning for 2024: Knights Under Lights and Knights Winter Smash.
The aim of these programs is to provide opportunities for players to keep playing baseball during the winter off season and develop foundational skills, increase overall baseball knowledge, situational awareness and passion for the game in time for next summer!
This year we’ve made some slight tweaks to both programs to make them even better and even more accessible to our junior players!
Knights Under Lights 2024
The Knights Under Lights program is designed for Castle Hill Knights players between the ages of 7U to 9U.
- KUL runs for 6 weeks on Friday nights during term 2.
- The program focuses on skills-based training, including hitting, throwing, fielding, baserunning, and game plays.
- It’s a perfect way for kids that played last season with the Knights to continuing learning, developing and honing their baseball skills.
- Players will be trained by some of the most passionate and experienced coaches the club has to offer, plus some of our local Representative Players.
- Players will receive a KUL 2024 Jersey, plus a Sausage sanger & drink after each session!

ADDITIONAL DETAILS – KUL
- Schedule: 6pm to 7:30pm — Friday — From 24th May – 5th July (note – no session on June long weekend).
- Location: Castle Glen
- Age Group: 7U-9U
- Timeframe: 6 weeks (Friday)
- Cost: $90. Includes program & KUL Jersey (KUL hat and hoodies available for sale)
- What to wear and bring: Players will need to wear baseball pants, belt and bring their own fielding glove, batting helmet and bats
Knights Winter Smash 2024
The Winter Smash Tournament is designed for Castle Hill Knights live pitch youth players aged 9-13.
- The KWS program will be a 10 week tournament with two groups
- 13U (players aged 12 and 13) – games played on 80ft diamond on Friday (5:30pm or 7:30pm) at Knights Field.
- 11U (players aged 11 and under must have played Modball) – games played on 70ft diamond on Friday (5:30pm or 7:15pm) at Castle Glen.
- There will be four teams in each age group. Everyone who wants a go pitching will get a turn. Everyone will get multiple at-bats each night. Coaches will provide live tutoring/demonstrations during games.
- This will be played on a Little League sized fields, involve modified rules to speed up the game and have a balance of skill level and ages spread evenly across each team.
- This program is aimed at players who have already played a minimum of one season of Modball baseball.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS – KWS
- Location: Castle Glen (11U) and Knights field (13U)
- Timeframe: 2 weeks preseason + 10 game weeks (no games on June Long weekend or during School Holidays)
- Cost: $220. Includes Tournament Fees, KWS 2024 Jersey and Hat
- What to wear and bring: Players will need to wear baseball pants, groin protector, belt and bring their own fielding glove, batting helmet and bats

These programs are an excellent opportunity for Junior Knights to keep their baseball up during the winter months and improve their skills during the off season. We can’t wait to see how these players develop through these programs!
